New discernment house opens
Discovering God's call can be difficult, especially if the environment one lives in makes it even harder to try to figure out where God is leading. A prayerful, supportive community setting with resources and opportunities for help and direction can facilitate this process. A discernment house is such a place.
The Sisters of Notre Dame opened a new discernment house in July 2006 in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Discernment houses are also located in other areas of the U.S. and in Germany. Other opportunities for discernment, such as weekend retreats, prayer experiences, or living with a local community of sisters also exist in most areas where the sisters are located. You may wish to find out more about discernment houses, the discernment process, or contact a vocation director for more information on discernment experiences. The Discerning God's Call section also provides some help.
