Many
cultures and much diversity characterize the Sisters of Notre Dame. As
women disciples of Jesus Christ, we have come to value this variety
as a blessing that continues to unfold with the mission of our congregation
in the 21st century. Exposure to diverse cultures and peoples at home
and abroad, different ways of living and praying together, myriad approaches
to God and increased sensitivity to Jesus’ special love for poor
and marginalized people have been some of the benefits of our internationality
and diversity. For us, making known the Good News of Jesus has limitless
possibilities!
In 1947 we established the international center of our congregation in
Rome, Italy, the heart of the Catholic Church. From this pulsing center,
we are
sent on mission.
United as sisters, we minister together, enriched by our diversity of geography,
language, customs, dress and styles of prayer.
