About us:

We are consecrated women missioned in the Church to proclaim God’s goodness and provident care by living Gospel values in vibrant communities, by promoting Catholic education, especially for women and children in urban and mission schools, and by fostering the fullness of life, especially for people who are poor, sick, and aged. The Sisters of Notre Dame came to Covington, Kentucky, from Germany via Cleveland, Ohio, on August 13, 1874, when two sisters arrived at Mother of God Parish to teach the children in the parish school. The sisters in our Covington province currently minister in Kentucky and Ohio in the USA, and also in Italy and Uganda.
