"Our community
gatherings expand my spirit. I don't know how this happens. For one
thing, I catch up on what my friends are doing. And, when all the sisters
join in the singing at the Eucharist, I am uplifted. It's great to
remember that I am part of something bigger than myself."

Prayer is essential to religious life. Our prayer—both together and
individually—not only deepens our relationship with God, but also strengthens
our relationships with one another in community and energizes us for mission.
The Eucharist is the life and center of our community. In this celebration
Jesus draws us more deeply into the mystery of his life, death and resurrection.
One of the most important elements in our heritage is Saint
Julie’s understanding
of the connection between action and prayer. Her life made clear her conviction
that prayer is the innermost spring of the life of the congregation. Julie
realized that a personal experience of God and a life of union with God are
necessary to living our vocation.
