We are an international congregation of Catholic women religious. Our lived response to God's call reflects who we are. Because we are committed to Jesus Christ, we witness to God’s loving care and goodness. We give our lives to God gladly and freely, and extend our love to persons of every age and circumstance in a variety of ministries all over the world. Following the spirit of our first sisters who started the congregation in 1850, we integrate our prayer, ministry and life together.

We are

  • women disciples of Jesus Christ, centered in the Eucharist

  • women for others, willing to minister with all

  • women who listen for the voice of God in every aspect of our day

  • women who share our deep conviction that God’s providence upholds us and God’s goodness enfolds us, even in darkness and suffering

  • women who love Jesus and his mother, Mary, and who want to share this love with others

  • women with a good sense of humor, delighting in simple joys

  • women who bring kindness, compassion, and gentleness to all, but especially to those who have experienced very little of those qualities

  • women whose love encompasses the whole world, especially the poor and marginalized persons

  • women united in the Church's mission, reaching out in ministry around the world
