Organ and altar consecration in St. Lamberti, Coesfeld

Full of joy, on September 11, 2022, St. Lamberti parish in Coesfeld celebrated the consecration of the organ and altar by Bishop Felix Genn from Münster. The church was closed for 16 months for a complete renovation.

The service was well attended, with 80 altar servers and flag bearers leading in the priests, the deacon and the bishop.

Percussion instruments, along with the two organs, and two choirs who sang parts of a modern Mass by John Leavitt, added to the majestic celebration.

The Coesfeld cross stands at the back in the center of the church. The new sanctuary has only one step and has been moved further into the center of the church. The worship space looks bright and friendly.

The sisters in Coesfeld are already looking forward to the opening service of our General Chapter on October 1, 2022 in St. Lamberti.
