“SND Young Sisters Learning Fun”

On April 15 and 16, the young SNDs participated in an Excel training organized by the provincial leadership of Indonesia. It was held in Jakarta at Notre Dame Puri Indah School. This training was an opportunity to stay up-to-date and try something new to significantly improve service in each ministry. In addition to the Excel training, the young sisters also had the opportunity to learn about financial management so as to be responsible for the ongoing presence of the congregation and to support its ministry in the Church.

This training gave us much to be thankful for and made us eager to continue learning. We also got a glimpse of the spirit of being a good manager. The sisters had a special session on good stewardship with Sister Maria Kharita who said, “As young sisters, you must be prepared to serve sincerely and competently.”

We were also grateful that three Junior Sisters (Srs. Maria Veronika, Callista Maria, and Maria Anna) celebrated the renewal of their vows as Sisters of Notre Dame on April 16, 2023. The Mass for the renewal of vows was celebrated by Fr. Bondi at 11:00 a.m. in the parish church of St. Thomas Apostle, Bojong Indah, with the SND sisters leading the choir.

We concluded our training program at 6:00 p.m. with a delicious supper. During the meal, there were some farewell performances by the young sisters. The training program and activities gave new insights and left joy in the sisters’ hearts to take back to their communities.
