[divider /]On November 15, 2013 the International Formation Conference began with a special prayer service in the Motherhouse Chapel.  The 35 Formators, the Congregational JPIC Coordinator, and the General Government gathered around the Scriptures to root our time together in Jesus, Mary, our charism, and within our cultural contexts.  Prayers were offered for blessings on the Conference, for the formators and for all our new members involved in formation.

Following the prayer service, Sister Mary Kristin gave the Opening Conference entitled Orientations for Notre Dame Formation in Our Time.  Within the Conference Sister stated the goal for the Conference as the following:

“The goal of the 2013 Formation Conference is to focus on specific orientations in spirituality, personal integration, community life, and ministry that will prepare newer members to live religious life and engage in ministry in relevant life-giving ways in keeping with the context of our times.”

After a time of reflection the sisters met in language groups to share their response to Sister Kristin’s address.
