We, the missionary sisters in Mozambique, completed the meeting for the Spiritual Renewal Program with intensity and joy. We joyfully received this special time of grace, blessings, and deep and rich experiences. It was a chance to revisit our History as Sisters of Notre Dame with love and appreciation. We studied again our history, charism and spirituality and could see all this as a light for our mission before the challenges of our world nowadays.

During this time, we were happy to have this program. It was well prepared and presented, with up to date techniques and resources, beautiful presentations, based on our Constitutions and in Scripture. The contents were shared with lightness, beauty and art.

The encouraging presence and coordination of Sister Maria Alcídia, her total and tireless availability during these days were appreciated by all the seven missionary sisters who were able to have this special time. Her presence, her comments and examples were much apreciated. Our sincere gratitude goes also to Sister Maria Irene Kunzler for her presence and for her support and collaboration in the preparation of this meeting.

We thank Sister Mary Kristin and the Congregation for this big opportunity and our Holy Cross Province for the time and resources offered.

All this was grace from our good and provident God: abundant and appealing times of prayer, learning, and sharing, the surroundings and all we have received during this time of the Reneweal Program. We are happy and assume our commitment anew – missioned to “incanate the love of our good and provident God”, announcing his irresistible goodness in the midst of our Mozambican people and in the challenges of our mission.

We want to embrace our mission with new fervor, under the maternal eyes of Mary, our patroness and mother, disciple and missionary, who walks with us following the steps of Jesus, our Master.
