Mary Immaculate Province
Toledo, Ohio, USA
Established as a Province in 1924
We are the Sisters of Notre Dame of the Toledo Province, an apostolic religious congregation, fostering a contemplative attitude toward life, filled with a missionary spirit
committed to acts of Gospel justice and energized by a strong communal life! The Toledo Province was founded in 1924 and we proudly sponsor: Notre Dame Academy (1904), Lial Catholic School (1972), Maria Early Learning Center (1990). The Toledo Province is also known for founding the Papua New Guinea Mission in 1961 and beginning Notre Dame Secondary School in Kumdi (1969). Papua New Guinea is now a delegation.
We serve the Church in the following states in the USA: California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas; as well as in Italy, The Philippines and in Uganda.
The Province celebrates December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, as its Patronal Feast.
