Regina Pacis Province
Incheon, South Korea
First Sisters arrived on July 7, 1967
Established as a Province in 1992
Three Sisters of Notre Dame from Germany came to Korea on July 7, 1967. The first Korean women joined these sisters after their formation in Notre Dame houses in Germany and Italy. Attracted by the charism and spirit of our congregation, many other women became sisters, making known God’s goodness and provident care in the Far East. Our sisters serve in Seoul, Incheon, and a number of other cities in South Korea. Sisters from the South Korean province also do mission work throughout Asia.
We are a happy community with a strong family spirit, centered in the Eucharist. We hold a deep devotion to Mary whom we try to imitate in her total dedication to God. We love to sing as part of our Korean cultural expression. We also enjoy praying and spending time together.
The Province celebrates June 25th, the feast of Mary as Queen of Peace, as its Patronal Feast.
