Korean Congregational Pilgrims Visit Rome!

Our last group of SND pilgrim sisters this year was from South Korea. On October 28, after completing the German segment of their pilgrimage, which included visits to Namur and to our Sisters in Tegelen, Sisters Marie Immanuel, Marie Jung Hae, and So-Mi Maria came to Rome to spend a few days in the Motherhouse and the Eternal City.

Sister Marie So-Wha had prepared a detailed schedule for them. We often admired their energy when they told us at supper about the basilicas and historical places of interest they had visited during the day. Sister So-Mi Maria, who has a special interest in art, was delighted to be able to see the originals of some pieces she had so far only been able to admire through photos and in copies.

All three expressed with much gratitude that the pilgrimage had enriched them spiritually and deepened their sense of belonging to an international congregation. They concluded their visit to Rome with the blessing of Pope Francis at the Angelus on Sunday, November 5.
