Annual Visitation Brings Notre Dame Staff Together

One activity taking place throughout the year in which we are celebrating the 100^th Anniversary of the Sisters of Notre Dame in Brazil, Sister Shirle Maria, Provincial Superior, will be inviting the employees and collaborators of each unit of Our Lady Aparecida Province to a special meeting to be held during her annual visitation.

These gatherings are a privileged opportunity for Sister to meet the men and women who share our Notre Dame charism and mission and are serving with the Sisters in our ND Ministries.

The Provincial House Community in Canoas had its visitation begin on August 19, also the opening of the week dedicated to Religious Life, celebrated each year in Brazil during August. During this gathering, the participants gave their names, described their current employment at Notre Dame Provincial Center, and stated how long they had been working, directly or indirectly, in our Notre Dame apostolic mission.

Sister Shirle Maria addressed the participants and distributed pencils made especially for the Centenary. Those attending the meeting totaled approximately 90 people. Afterward, everyone was invited for lunch.
