May 13th, 2023 was a day filled with joy and reverence as we, Sisters Mary Sushma, Josephine, Ancy, and Anima made our final profession, marking a significant milestone in our spiritual journey. Surrounded by our Sisters, family, friends, and well-wishers, the occasion was a celebration of commitment, faith, and dedication to a life of service. After one whole year of preparation along with a month of retreat, the most awaited day came with its splendor and blessings from above. Heaven and earth were filled with joy to accept us as brides of Christ.

It was indeed a day of gratitude. We were filled with joy. Sisters from different communities, our Family members, friends, well-wishers, and the invited guests came to witness our final commitment. The altar was beautifully decorated with flowers. As the choir sang the entrance song we walked to the altar in procession with our parents with folded hands in deep gratitude and reverence to our Lord and master led by the graceful steps of the dancers who were followed by Sisters, priests, and the Archbishop Emeritus, Most Rev. William D’Souza, S.J.

After the meaningful and inspiring sermon by the Archbishop, the Rite of Religious Profession began. As we prostrated in front of the Altar during the litany of saints, we could feel power and blessings flowing from above and we prayed for the intercession of all the saints. The profession of the vows was the heart of the ceremony. We each individually professed our vows for our whole life. We sang the Magnificat offering our gratitude to God for all his goodness and mercy and then each of us received the ring from our Provincial Superior, Sister Mary Alice.

This day became a reality in our lives because of many Sisters who have formed and shaped us. We gratefully remember all those who have contributed to reaching us to this milestone of our lives. Jesus the Potter was constantly at work in our formative years. We are grateful to Almighty God for His numerous blessings upon each one of us, calling us to love, forming us in grace, and sending us to serve.
