May 24: Eucharistic Expo-Fair: The Founders and the Eucharist

Sisters Maria Roselaine Diel, Mirian Terezinha Garcia, Maria Helena Dalmaso and Maria Sharon Vargas participated in this Expo-Fair, sharing and spreading again among the public, the great devotion and the importance of the Blessed Sacrament as center of our lives.

May 26: Procession of the Blessed Sacrament

This feast has been celebrated with great devotion for 17 years and today, for the first time the Blessed Sacrament has its own litter, made exclusively for the procession of the feast of Corpus Christi when it will be carried for their worship, thanks to the efforts of many fervent and devoted Catholics even though, on May 29, the day of the Feast of Corpus Christi, each parish has its own celebration.

In Salaverry, city where the Sisters of Notre Dame live, this feast was celebrated with great devotion, and people from all chapels and parish groups participated. It started with Mass at 5:00 pm in the Mother Church and was followed by a procession around the “Plaza de Armas” (square), stopping before the Altars prepared by each parish group. Among the people was the Notre Dame Maria Auxiliadora Community. For the first time the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was present with its First Communion and Confirmation people, accompanied by their catechists Sister Mary Sharon, SND and Mrs. Cintia.

The great feast of Corpus Christi this year is a historical landmark for our city of Trujillo. We continue spreading this great Solemnity of the Sacred Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Because “The glory of God is the resurrected Christ and the glory of man is the incarnate Christ.” Amen.
